Nutrition: Vitamins, Minerals and Superfoods
This class will cover simple macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and fats), how our body absorbs them, and how to balance them in our diet and how to read a food label. We will learn about major minerals and vitamins - benefits and functions - and their food sources. We will also explore superfoods and their actions.
The class will be part-lecture, and also include coloring sheets, games, and snacks & recipes to try at home! I also encourage questions, and each week we will come up with a food to explore or research!
